Mr. Palagummi Sainath, has received the Grand Prize of Fukuoka Prize 2021. He is the first Grand Prize winner as a working journalist.

The Fukuoka Prize is an international award which was established in 1990 to foster and increase awareness of the value of Asian Cultures, and to contribute to the mutual understanding and peace in the Asian region. The Award ceremony will be held in September in Fukuoka City, Japan
